Pickle

My YC company.

I co-founded Pickle, a meeting intelligence company for sales teams. We built tools to record calls, find what mattered, and share it with the people who needed it.

Pickle’s notes and meeting templates alongside a live Zoom call

Why we built it

A recording is useful. Finding one detail in an hour-long call is still work. And the person who needs that detail often wasn’t in the meeting.

We wanted to make that easier. Take notes during the call, get back to the right moment afterward, and send it to someone without asking them to watch the whole thing.

01 · Capture

Notes inside Zoom

The notes sat beside the call in Zoom. Reps could follow a template and mark something as it happened. Afterward, the recording, transcript, and notes were connected. Click a timestamp and go back to that part of the conversation.

The tradeoff

Taking notes competes with listening. The Zoom panel gave people a small space to capture a thought; timestamps kept those brief notes tied to the fuller conversation. That still asks the person on the call to decide what matters.

02 · Find

Finding answers across calls

By June 2023, we’d added AI search across past meetings. You could ask about a deal or a recurring customer question. Conversation maps gave teams templates for following a shared sales process.

03 · Share

Getting it to the rest of the team

A useful note shouldn’t stay buried in the recording. Pickle could send meeting information to Salesforce and HubSpot, and share clips and notes through tools like Slack. Someone else could see what the customer actually said.

Looking back

Pickle was part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2021 batch. TechCrunch included us in its Demo Day favorites, and we announced a $2.4 million seed round in January 2022.

We eventually shut Pickle down. I still want to show what we built. These are the original product images, and the archived site is from June 2023.
